Shika Duncan (JoyReignVR)

Shika Duncan (JoyReign) is a Louisiana native and proud graduate of Southern University A&M, where she earned a degree in Economics. She is an award-winning XR Evangelist, industry speaker, and immersive content creator recognized for her expertise in spatial computing, metaverse experience design, and community-centered innovation. Through her company, Onyx Leaf Media, which she co-owns with her husband, she develops XR strategies, branded experiences, and educational programming that advance the widespread adoption of immersive technology.

Her work has been featured by Meta, Meta Reality Labs, Meta Horizon Worlds, Snapdragon, The Today Show, Thurgood Marshall College Fund, and a host of other publications. Shika is a Meta Quest Creator Partner, a two-time AWE Auggie Award nominee, and the recipient of both the Meta Horizon Amplifier Award and The Polys Immersive Community Honor, underscoring her leadership in the field.

She also co-hosts Get’Em To The Metaverse and co-leads Getting Things Dun, a YouTube channel dedicated to XR and emerging technologies.
